ChemoCentryx is offering a unique opportunity for a highly motivated researcher to join our team, which is focused on the discovery and development of oral, parenteral and topical administered therapeutics to treat autoimmune diseases, inflammatory disorders and cancer. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in developing and performing small molecule analytical methods.
The primary role of this position is to provide analytical support during the developing and preparation of formulations for new chemical entities from pre-clinical to INO and to advanced clinical development in Phase 2 and 3. Responsibilities: Develop, qualify, implement, and verify test methods for analyses of samples generated during formulation development and using a variety of technologies including HPLC and LC-MS Work independently on execution of analytical testing procedures, complete data analysis methods, and finish final written reports Perform routine testing in the formulation laboratory, including in vitro dissolution, assay/related substances, content uniformity, Karl-Fischer and pH Develop and optimize laboratory analytical testing procedures Accurately record and review laboratory data generated from different analytical equipment Manage CRO during analytical method tech transfer, verification, and validation activities Manage formulation prototype stability studies internally and/or at CRO Treat data with a high level of integrity and ethics Maintain laboratory supplies of day to day materials and chemicals Observe safety procedures and knowledgeable of hazardous waste procedures Performs other related duties as assigned by team lead Qualifications and Work Experience Requirements: BS or MS in Analytical Chemistry, or related discipline with at least 5 â 7 years of biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience Experience with variety of analytical techniques, method development and phase appropriate validation Experience with managing and working with multiple contract analytical laboratories Expertise in dissolution testing, assay/related substance, KF, MLT, and other test methods for drug product Expertise in chromatographic quantitation techniques including HPLC and LC-MS Excellent organizational, multitasking, and analytical data analysis skills Excellence in working with diverse groups from cross-functional disciplines and with the ability in communicating effectively in a collaborative environment Familiar with the latest ICH guidelines and USP testing methods for drug products Effective in working in a fast-paced R&D environment with multiple tasks at hand Exceptional oral communication and writing skills As an equal opportunity employer, ChemoCentryx, Inc. is committed to a diverse workforce.
