<div>In the Department of Congenital Disorders at Statens Serum Institut in Copenhagen, we are about 40 employees and a number of associate guest researchers, PhD and specialists. The department is nationwide for a number of special biochemical and molecular biology studies and has an active research environment.  </div>

<div><strong>The position  </strong></div>
<div>You will be responsible for developing and improving LCMSMS-based methods for our metabolomics research projects from sample pre-analytics to handing of results.  </div>
<div> </div>
<div>In collaboration with a dedicated technician and a dedicated academic researcher, your main tasks will include technical troubleshooting in the laboratory, literature search for state-of-the-art methods for various biological matrices, quality assurance (i.e. method validation, procedure writing, quality control, etc.).  </div>
<div>Your objectives will be to develop high quality and high throughput methods and apply these to our current research projects.  </div>

<div>In addition to metabolomics (primary focus), you will possibly be involved in other forms of method development, e.g. proteomics, steroid analyses, support on other instruments.  </div>
<div> </div>
<div><strong>Your education and experience</strong>  </div>
<div>We expect you to have a relevant academic background. It is preferable if you have a recent PhD or at least 3-year professional experience involving hands-on LCMSMS.  </div>
<div>To contest the position you probably have:  </div>
<div>• a strong technical background and interest in QExactives or Orbitrap-type instruments  </div>
<div> experience in analytical method development, preferably in biology / life sciences  </div>
<div> knowledge and interest in quality assurance  </div>
<div> experience with or interest for automation of extraction methods (e.g. programming of pipetting robots)  </div>
<div> good collaborative skills, commitment  </div>
<div> proficient spoken and written English  </div>
<div> </div>
<div>It is an advantage if you have:  </div>
<div> metabolomics experience  </div>
<div> experience with handling various biological matrices (dried blood spots, plasma, CSF, urine, etc.)  </div>
<div> experience with collaboration and guidance of technicians  </div>
<div> </div>
<div>In addition, it is an advantage if you speak and write Danish.  </div>
