Job Description
The Department of Ophthalmology seeks outstanding candidates for a full-time Research Scientist position at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting ocular cell biology, biochemistry and microscopy experiments as part of a newly NIH-funded research project. This involves preparing biological and other specimens for imaging and ocular cell biological and biochemical testing and to acquire, analyze and publish related data. This position will assist in maintaining the ocular cell biology, biochemistry and microscopy equipment, order routine supplies, prepare technical reports and archive data. Qualifications Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in a biological or biomedical science field and solid experience in ocular cell biology methods and in microscopy techniques as well as experience in cell biology, preferably ocular cell biology.
