The School of Human Environmental Sciences at the University of Arkansas seeks applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Fellow position in the nutritional science lab of Dr. Sabrina P. Trudo, RD.
Summary of Job Duties:
This postdoctoral position will provide research support to projects related to diet and prevention of cancer and obesity including feeding studies in rodents and possibly humans. The position involves coordinating and conducting rodent studies as well as analysis of samples taken from rodents and foods. Research may also involve human study support including recruitment, management, and collection and analysis of samples.
Doctoral degree in nutritional science or related field with experience in animal studies, cell culture, enzyme activity assays, molecular biology techniques (analysis of protein, DNA, RNA, etc.), data analysis and interpretation, preparation of manuscripts for publication, training others in lab procedures.
Experience handling 'omics datasets and bioinformatics analyses, extraction and analysis of food constituents, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Experience with human subject research.
Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
